2. Rules
This event is dedicated to Owners, Guest, Captain and Crew to have a convivial and fun passage in Cannes.
a) Respect, safety and conviviality.
b) COLREG Regulation.
c) The Rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).
d) The Notice of Race.
e) The Sailing Instructions.
2.2 In the event of a conflict between any of the above rules and/or regulations and the Sailing Instructions, the Sailing Instructions shall prevail.
2.3 In accordance with ISAF regulations, ISAF Advertising Code, the “Cannes Croisette Cup® 2011” is and invitational Event.
Boats may be required to display limited event sponsors advertising Flag as detailed in the Sailing Instructions (Racing flag).
3. Entries and Fees
3.1 “Cannes Croisette Cup®” 2011 is an invitational event.
3.2 Organizing authority reserves right to refuse any entry.
3.4 Entry fees will be:
Owner Driver  Mini Maxi: 2500€ + 500€ charity
Super Yacht:
LOA < 38 meters : 4500€ + 500 charity.
LOA > 38 meters : 6500€ + 500 charity.

4. Eligibility and crew limitations
4.1 Cannes Croisette Cup® 2011 is open to Super Yachts invited.
4.2 Class invited : Owner Driver Mini Maxi, Racer/Cruiser Super Yachts, and Super Yachts.
4.2 Crew lists shall be lodged at Regatta Village before each morning.
4.3 All crew must comply with his national authority and French sailor must have a FFV Sailing licence.
5. Schedule of events
5.1 Registration will take place in the Village in Cannes Harbour Jetée Albert Edouard from September 19thth 12am to 7 pm.
5.2 Races schedule
Tuesday September 20th: “Cannes Harbour Trophy”.
Wednesday September 21th : “Island Regatta”.
Thursday September 22nd : “Grand Prix Regatta”
Friday September 23rd: “Treasure Hunt”
Saturday September 24th : “Esterel Cup”

Sunday September 25th: “Cannes to St Tropez” will be sail as independent race, fleet start.
6. Scoring
6.1 A maximum of 5 races will be scheduled.
6.2 Each day starting time will be announced at skipper briefing.
6.3 Starting time will be calculated using each boat’s corrected time calculated from: Distance course on IRC handicap except for “Grand Prix” race with fleet start.
6.4 Every evening, handicap could be adjusted.
6.5 If a tie occurs, the Yacht with the best result in “Treasure Hunt” will receive the “De Beers Perpetual Trophy”.
7. Sailing Instructions
The Sailing Instructions will be included in the Skipper’s Pack available at registration.
8. Ratings
All boat must have a valid 2011 IRC Certificate. IRC Certificate can be delivered by UNCL & RORC

9. Courses
Courses will be pursuit rally. Slower boats start first. Each boat will be daily assigned her starting time except for “Grand Prix” under fleet start.
Engines and thrusters can be used until one minute prior to boat assigned starting time. Race area will be in the Bay of Cannes between the Croisette, Iles de Lérins, Esterel and may consist of coastal courses.
All Courses will be posted on website before September 1st 2011, except the “treasure hunt”.
10. Penalties
A boat on the course side (OCS) at her starting signal will be given a time penalty of 3% of her elapsed time. Boats shall not attempt to return as this will not remove the penalty.

11. Jury
In accordance with art.2 of this Notice of Race: Respect, safety and fun.
We encourage all participants who intent to protest to ask Cannes Croisette Cup® President to make an
arbitrage around “Grand Cru” Wine or Champagne party in place of protest (Wine at protesting boat charge, off course).
12. Flags.
Each boat shall wear a “Cannes Croisette Cup®” 2011 flag on their backstays.
These will be available at Registration.
13. Technical aids
13.1 All types of electronic aids, including and not limited to radar and satellite, are permitted.
13.2 Race Committee will broadcast all information on Vhf.
14. Amendments to this Notice of race
The Organizing Authority reserves the right to amend the Notice of “Cannes Croisette Cup® 2011”. Any amendments to this Notice prior to September 1st 2011 will be emailed to all Boats whose entries have been accepted.
Amendments will be posted on the official website, the official notice board, and been delivered on board.
15. Publicity
“Cannes Croisette Cup®” 2011 is a private event dedicated to Super Sailing Yachts.
15.1 All information concerning, transmitted by or for or given to FS 2003 for administration is totally confidential and protected by our confidentiality chart.
15.2 -FS 2003 appointed official photographer and video producer. All “Cannes Croisette Cup®” 2011 rights remain to FS 2003.
15.3 Competitors and crew members on the competing yachts grant, at no cost, the FS 2003, FS 2003 partners and affiliated companies the absolute right and permission to use their name, voice, image, likeness, biographical material as well as representations of the boats in any media (being television, print and internet media), including video footage, for the sole purposes of advertising, promoting, reporting and disseminating information regarding the “Cannes Croisette Cup®” and the competitors and crew members participation in the race, and in magazine edited by FS 2003.
16. Insurance
All entrants shall hold valid insurance for Third Party Indemnity for not less than 4 million Euros (€4,000,000) to be maintained in full and effective throughout the event.
17. Disclaimer
The Organizing Authority, Race Organizers, Events sponsor shall not be liable for any loss, damage, death or personal injury howsoever caused to the Owner/Competitor, his skipper or crew, as a result of their taking part in this Race. Moreover, every Owner/Competitor warrants the suitability of his boat for the race.
17.1 The safety of a boat and her entire management including insurance shall be the sole responsibility of the Owner/Competitor who must ensure that the boat is fully found, thoroughly seaworthy, manned by a crew sufficient in number and experience. The Owner/Competitor must be satisfied as to the soundness of the hull, spars, rigging and all gear. He must ensure that all safety equipment is properly maintained, stowed and in date and that the crew knows where it is kept and how it is to be used.
17.2 Neither the establishment of these conditions, nor their use by the Organizing Authority and the Rally organizers, in any way limit the absolute responsibility of the Owner / Competitor. The crews are nonetheless advised to satisfy themselves as to the experience of the skipper and the adequacy of all safety equipment and insurance arrangements.

Trophies and Awards
Treasure will be presented to the best treasure hunter.
Elegance Trophy will be presented in accordance with Cannes Croisette Cup comity decision.
“De Beers Perpetual Trophy” presented to the Cannes Croisette Cup 2011 Winner.
Cannes to St Tropez Trophy will be presented at Hôtel Sube Sunday 25th  at 19h.

Social Program
Captain’s party, crew party schedule will be posted Sept 1st.
Daily prize giving ceremony will set at Event village.
Cannes Croisette Cup Gala and Trophy presentation will be scheduled and posted prior September 15th. Full details will be listed on the regatta website.
The final schedule will be available at the time of the registration.
